Elstree Studios has been synonymous with filmmaking for the best part of the last century and is proud to still be playing an important role in Film and Television production.

Elstree was first established in 1926 and since then many great directors have worked at the Studios. Our latest features include Amazing Grace, The Other Boleyn Girl and 1408. Its heritage is recognised all over the world and more recently the Studios made a home for the hit ITV series Dancing on Ice and Sky One's Are You Smarter Than A Ten Year Old? Both Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and Big Brother continue to have long term commitments at Elstree.

Elstree is a totally independent studio providing six sound stages and one silent stage comprising over 60,000 sq ft of space. Our two large stages are the tallest in the UK with a height of 49 ft and are each 15,770 sq ft. Stars such as Cliff Richard, Robbie Williams, Kylie, Madonna, Take That and many other artists have found these stages ideal for their tour rehearsals as they are two of the only sound stages in Europe that can accommodate a full size stadium stage and lighting rig.

As the birthplace of many cinema blockbusters, Elstree Studios is a great place to entertain. Available for hire are the Star Bar and Bistro, Restaurant and Event Hall, the Board Room and Green Room all located within the Studios Lot and benefiting from the associated glamour of the Studios.
