PAST Big Brother housemates will don hats and aprons and take over a Borehamwood restaurant on Thursday.
Ten contestants from the reality television show, including BB10’s winner Sophie Reade, will descend on Nando’s in Shenley Road, as part of a charity event organised by the 2008 winner, Brian Belo.
Mr Belo will welcome customers into the restaurant and encourage them to contribute to buckets in aid of children’s charity, Barnardos. A percentage of the evening’s takings will also be donated to the charity.
Mr Belo said: "I've worked with Barnado's since winning Big Brother three years ago. I have a longstanding relationship with them and it is a cause that is close to my heart.
"Nando’s is one of life’s passions and I can't think of anything better than combining raising money for my favourite charity and indulging in my top eaterie with some of my Big Brother pals".
Other BB favourites to appear at Nando’s will include BB3’s Alex Sibley, Nikki Grahame from BB7 and Charley Uchea, who appeared in the eighth series alongside Mr Belo.
All former housemates will be briefed on health and safety and given uniforms before being let loose on the public at 6.30pm, when their shift begins.
The event coincides with the current series of Big Brother, which will be the last after Channel 4 confirmed the show would not return in 2011.
Nando’s will be booking tables in advance as well as taking walk-ins. To book, call 020 8953 5165.
