BEHIND THE SCENES AT EASTENDERS PUB FIRE

It's the end of an era on EastEnders next week as a blazing inferno burns down the Queen Vic, marking the end of the iconic pub as we know it.

As seen in pictures which were released over the Bank Holiday weekend, the dramatic turn of events is caused by troubled Phil Mitchell - who lights the fire at his mom Peggy's beloved boozer as they have a massive row.

Before filming of the challenging episode began, a replica set of the Queen Vic was built on a special fire stage at Elstree Studios for the shooting of some of the interior scenes.
